Lenten Services

Community Lenten Services are 12:00 Noon at churches throughout the Bluffton area. Each week the site will rotate among churches–locations and schedule details will be posted at this website.

The next Lenten service is Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Bluffton United Methodist Church. The Host Pastor is Rev. Joey McDonald and the Proclaiming Pastor with the message is Rev. Daniel Burbage. Bluffton United Methodist Church is located at : 101 Calhoun Street, Bluffton, South Carolina 29910.

During a 30-minute service Rev. Burbage will share a message. Offerings received as part of this service will support missions and ministries selected by the host church. A light meal will be served after a service.

Lenten Service and Light Lunch at St Luke’s

St. Luke’s will host the Lenten Service and light lunch Wednesday, April 10, 2019. More information will be posted here and in the weekly church bulletin.

Concert for a Cause, Port Royal UMC

Saturday, March 30, 2019, 6:00 – 8:30 PM, Port Royal United Methodist Church (1602 Columbia Avenue, 16th Street & Columbia Avenue, Port Royal, SC 29935) presents Southern Gospel Hymns and Christian Rock & Roll featuring local praise bands Forgiven, Mammy’s Band, Redeemed, Rock Solid and The Link. Palm Sunday Services

Palm Sunday, April 14, 2019, St Luke’s will offer 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. services.

Holy Thursday

Thursday, April 18, 2019, 7:00 p.m., St Luke’s will present “Holy Thursday Living Last Supper” at the church sanctuary.

This performance will bring Leonardo da Vinci’s magnificent painting to life. The Sacrament of Holy Communion will be offered following this performance.

Easter Sunday Services

Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019, St Luke’s will offer sunrise (time to be announced), 8:30, and 10:00 a.m. services.

Easter Lilies can be donated for Easter Sunday services and can be designated as “in memory” or “in honor” of loved ones. Lily donations will be displayed in the sanctuary, listed in the Easter Sunday worship bulletin, and can be taken home after the 10:00 a.m. service or can be designated to be delivered to a shut-in. April 7th is the deadline to order.

Blessing of the Bikes, May 18, 2019

Blessing of the Bikes

The Blessing of the Bikes and Bicycles will be offered by St Luke’s United Methodist Church, Saturday, May 18, 2019, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. During this annual tradition riders of motorcycles or bicycles will receive blessing from Rev. Preveaux for safety during the coming season. Many towns in the United States conduct this annual ceremony to bless riders and motorcycles at the start of the summer.
