“Praising and Serving God Through the Ages”

A message from our Pastor, Rev. Brian Preveaux

Rev Brian Thumbnail

On behalf of St. Luke’s congregation, welcome to our website. We extend a warm greeting.

Due to coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns, recent recommendations from Bishop L. Jonathan Holston, resident Bishop of South Carolina, and gathering restrictions set by South Carolina Govenor Henry McMaster, all in-person service and other gatherings are suspended through June 10, 2020. This includes all meetings and office hours.

Easter services April 12, 2020, at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church (UMC) were not held. This does not mean Easter services were cancelled, just postponed. Our Easter service will be celebrated on the first Sunday we can gather at St. Luke’s for worship. That will truly be a day of celebration of Jesus Christ and a true celebration of life! I am looking forward to returning to our regular schedule of worship services and celebrating that day with you.

This is not a time to panic, but to pray. Pray for those infected, medical personnel, our local, state and federal leaders and for each other as we move through a time of uncertainty.

Continue seeking God’s presence until we are again united, AND know God is with us, remembering…

“Greater than the power that is holding you down is the power that lifts you up!”

    Grace and peace,
    Rev. Brian Preveaux
