“Praising and Serving God Through the Ages”

A message from our Pastor, Rev. Brian Preveaux

Rev Brian Thumbnail

On behalf of St. Luke’s congregation, welcome to our website. We extend a warm greeting.

Due to coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns, recent recommendations from Bishop L. Jonathan Holston, resident Bishop of South Carolina, and gathering restrictions set by South Carolina Govenor Henry McMaster, all in-person services in our sanctuary and other gatherings are suspended until further notice. This includes all meetings and office hours.

However, we are having a worship service outdoors each Sunday, in our back lot. The service begins at 9:15 a.m. and we bring our own chair (i.e., lawn chair). Weather permitting, of course. We video the service and it is on our YouTube channel. A link is posted under our “Quick Links” tab on this website.

      •  Several United Methodist Churches in South Carolina provide live-stream of their services during this time. Visit the Conference website for a list of the churches.

During this impactful and challenging time for our church, community, state and nation I am available for prayer, consultation, or other needs:

  • Home: 843-707-7991
  • Mobile: 803-686-0794
  • E-mail:

This is not a time to panic, but to pray. Pray for those infected, medical personnel, our local, state and federal leaders and for each other as we move through a time of uncertainty.

Continue seeking God’s presence until we are again united, AND know God is with us, remembering…

“Greater than the power that is holding you down is the power that lifts you up!”

Grace and peace,
Rev. Brian Preveaux
